Travel & lifestyle product design for journeys worth making

For every traveller, anticipation is the biggest joy — and the easiest thing to destroy. We design travel apps, booking platforms, and lifestyle products for companies where the experience of planning a trip is considered a trip itself.

The Problems we hear about the most

Booking takes seven steps, but they leave at three.

Every unnecessary screen between intent and confirmation is a traveller's resolve quietly eroding.

The homepage is beautiful, the booking flow is not.

Marketing investment drives users to a product, but the travel app design fails to convert.

They're promised personalised, they get generic.

Recommendation engines mean nothing if the interface treats every user like they just arrived for the first time.

The app holds up in planning but fails in-trip.

User trust breaks when an unintuitive travel website design fails at crucial moments, such as itinerary changes or gate updates.

Accumulating loyalty points fails to translate to actual loyalty.

Rewards programmes with poor UX feel like a chore. Users collect points and eventually stop caring about the product entirely.

What good travel & lifestyle design looks like

tickA booking flow stripped down to the decisions that matter, so fewer users abandon before confirming.
tickSearch and filter experiences sharp enough to handle the complexity of real travel decisions.
tick In-trip design built for the moments when users are stressed, offline, or both.
tickLoyalty and rewards UX that makes earning and redeeming feel worth the effort.
tick Cross-platform consistency between the travel website and the mobile app.

When the conversion data and user behaviour stop making sense together. Declining booking completion, high search-to-exit rates, and loyalty churn that can't be explained by pricing are almost always design signals before they become business problems. The earlier you diagnose, the less expensive the fix.

Travel purchases are high-consideration and high-anxiety, because the users are committing money to something they can't fully control. A good travel app design treats that anxiety as the primary brief. Confidence signals, transparent pricing, clear cancellation logic, and honest wait states are what separate a booking that reaches completion from one that gets abandoned at the payment screen.

Both, and they're very different briefs. Pre-trip is about reducing uncertainty before money changes hands. In-trip is about removing friction when it's least welcome. A traveller at an airport with a broken boarding pass is not the same user who browsed flights on a Sunday evening. The design has to hold for both states.

Treat the reward as the product. Most loyalty programmes underperform because redemption rates are so low that users lose interest before reaching it. We focus on the moment a user first understands what their points are worth and whether claiming them is worth the effort. That's where loyalty is actually won or lost.

Isolate each decision until the user is ready for the next. Multi-destination flows fail when travellers have to hold too much in their heads at once. We design for progressive commitment: confirm the first leg before complicating the second. The complexity is real. It doesn't have to be experienced all at once.

Yes, and the Indian travel market has requirements that global platforms miss. Transparent fare breakdowns matter more than visual polish. Tier 2 and 3 city users book on mid-range Android devices. Group travel — families, pilgrimages, office trips — is a primary use case most OTA designs still treat as an edge case.
